Well..
I've been thinking about it, and I can't meet two times a week for two different groups. For the sake of my sanity (and yours, probably) how about we just keep it to thirty minutes on Thursday at 1:30? Would that be okay?
And, how many of you actually have yarn to bring this Thursday? If none of us have yarn, what do you guys want to do? Just eat lunch as a group, and talk?
We have to keep in mind Thursday is also Halloween Day, so... should we could also postpone the meeting until the Thursday after break, making VERY WELL SURE that we all have yarn.
Opinions, ideas, thoughts? Group name?
[P.S.-- thanks for posting, those who have! It's really encouraging to know you guys are involved and are trying to keep this going. :) ]

Hello!
I would please like everyone to bring yarn this Thursday. Mrs. Lawrence and I have extra needles, but if we're going to start on our scarves, we all need yarn that we like, can keep, and can work with.
Also, Friday didn't work out for me-- that was absolutely my fault. Do you guys want to meet maybe 45 minutes before dinner, start, then eat together?
Have a good weekend! Any thoughts for a name yet?

Excellent! I'm glad we met today.
Alright, here's what we decided:
1. Meetings:
-Thursday: 1:30
-Friday: 5:15
2. Think of group name.
3. Saturday? Meet and yarn shop for an hour?
We'll be talking about how to buy yarn for our first project (bulky comfortable scarf) tomorrow:

COMMENT and look at the rest of the blog! It's last years knitting club blog, so you can see some of the things we did.

Getting used to the blog...
So, writing/commenting/reading/checking a blog can be hard. But this is the best way to get everyone together and keep in touch.
I'll post links, dates when to meet, and times when we meet so it's important that you check this site! The knitting group in the USA used it last year.
TELL ME when you (YOU personally) can meet this week. Suggest a time to knit together. When should we go shop for yarn. Should we meet after school. ETC. COMMENT THIS POST and tell me.
By the way, an awesome guy back home recommended these contemporary knitting links. They can show you how fucking cool knitting is:

And Rusty... are you pumped to learn about diamonds!?

Hello current IBS knitters! Thank-you for looking at the blog. This is where you can post ideas, comments, suggestions... but right now I need all of you to comment this post and tell me what day and what time would work for you. If you're a boarder, put it. If you think boarders should meet on a different day because the group was too big last time, put it.
Thirty minutes during lunch just won't work out, however. I know finding free time here is hard, especially as our work gets stronger, but we can pull something together if we really want to, and work together.
Also, to the people who did turn up at Mrs. Lawrence's room today, I am SO INCREDIBLY SORRY. The knitting club IS continuing though, and I ask you to forgive me and still work towards getting this group together.
Have a great week, and please bookmark this link-- I'll update it at least weekly and I'll take pictures during the group of what we're doing (good for CAS), different patterns for hats or stitches, or dates for when we can all go together to go get yarn (lin).
!!!!
Karen
P.S. -- What do you want to call our group? Last year it was "The Old Women's Club".. kind of a funny misnomer because old women knit all the time, apparently.

Call for ideas...
Hey all. How's the summer knitting coming? Have we all moved on to lighter materials, dropping the knitting needles for sewing machines? I hope not.
Here's my quandary: The piece below was crocheted using 100 yds of 3/8" nylon rope. The kitteh in the second picture is for scale.
I would like to crochet or knit a footstool/beanbag chair, but I am unsure where to find cheap material. Worn climbing rope would be perfect, but again, I wouldn't know where to look.
Any ideas?
Also, how are your projects coming?
