These little girls and guys were knitted or crocheted for our tutoring students. The third graders loved them, though I heard "What are they?" a few times. The best moment, though, was the wave of understanding that washed over each face as the student realized what he or she could do with the creatures.
A plush melee erupted at the back of the classroom. Several stuffed squares were thrown. There were no injuries.
