Call for ideas...

Hey all.  How's the summer knitting coming?  Have we all moved on to lighter materials, dropping the knitting needles for sewing machines?  I hope not.

Here's my quandary:  The piece below was crocheted using 100 yds of 3/8" nylon rope.  The kitteh in the second picture is for scale.

IMG_0388 I would like to crochet or knit a footstool/beanbag chair, but I am unsure where to find cheap material.  Worn climbing rope would be perfect, but again, I wouldn't know where to look.

Any ideas?

Also, how are your projects coming?

Cool idea! I'm sure you've checked Hobby Lobby and Michaels. Maybe Sam's, to buy bulk? Maybe online? What are you thinking of stuffing the chair with?

Salvation Army may have rope. Or one of the army stores in general. I know places like Backwoods have climbing rope but that'd be mad expensive most likely.

I'm sure you've thought of everything I could think of. I wish you were here with us, by the way. It's beautiful.

Have a good summer. Be safe.
